Strathcona High, Class of ’56
Choreography & Performance: The Contingency Plan
Strathcona High Class of ’56 explores the sexual repression of the 1950‘s, taking the audience on an emotionally tumultuous journey. As the piece unfolds, the young women abandon their aspirations of love, embracing a fierce independence with reckless abandon.

Please join The Contingency Plan for EDGE One at the Dancing on the Edge Festival 2010.
Caesura
Choreography: Justine A. Chambers
Performance: Vanessa Goodman & Jane Osborne
This duet is inspired by the literary term referring to a pause that breaks up a line of verse in order to convey meaning. Caesura creates an intricate moving conversation punctuated by the many ways we take pause in our daily lives.
Caesura was commissioned by Vanessa and I in 2009. It was first presented by SYIDA in June 2009 in Whitehorse, Yukon, and following that, here in Vancouver at the Roundhouse in Oct 2009.
It will be performed at DOTE as part of EDGE One, together with work by Science Friction and The Chimera Project.
July 9th, 2010 @ 7pm
July 11th, 2010 @ 7pm
At the Firehall Arts Centre
